I apologize for being a little behind the curve on this one. Here is some important information you will need to know about the field trip taking place next week.
1. If you have not submitted your child's permission slip, please do so as soon as possible. If your child is not going to attend the field trip, they may stay home (unexcused absence) or be placed in another classroom for the day.
2. The field trip chaperones are Ms. Forbes, Ms. Orona, Mr. Zavala, Ms. Ely (Caleb's Grandmother), Ms. Tipescu, Ms. VanCamp, and Ms. Aspiras. Each parent will be partnered with their child and a few other children. Ms. Maguire and I will not have groups because we will be supervising our two groups. There are two tours through the museum and 4B will be divided between those two tours.

- 9:30 - Buses depart from Archway Arete
10:00 - Arrive Wesley Bolin Plaza
1015-11:45 - Scavenger Hunt and Lunch in the Plaza
12:00-1:45 - Tours
2:00 - Buses depart from plaza
2:45 - Arrive at Archway
4. Lunches - Please pack your child a brown-bagged lunch on Monday, April 3rd. We will be eating in the park and lunch boxes are not allowed in the Capitol building.
5. Phones - The children are permitted to bring cameras, camera phones, and IiPodsthat are used for cameras. Please note that if students are using phones/iPods for anything other than pictures/videos the phone or iPod will be confiscated, and not returned until parents retrieve them from me at school. Please keep in mind they must hold their camera or phone with them during the duration of the trip, as there is no storage. Students are responsible for their belongings during the trip.
6. Monday -There is a museum store for souvenirs at the State Capitol. The children are permitted to bring money to spend at the store (per your discretion).
7. Chaperone Transportation - -Chaperones must drive to the field trip in your own vehicle. Carpooling is usually a fun option, and a great way to meet fellow parents! I do ask that chaperones assist in transporting the two tubs of lunches, the bottled water, and the treats. Please meet at the school at 8:30 to load up supplies.
8. Chaperones may not check out their child from the field trip. They must ride the bus to and from the capitol with their classmates.
