Greetings Parents,
Wow! The end of the third quarter is upon us. I cannot believe how fast things have gone. Only one quarter left. It has been an exciting journey thus far and I can't wait to see how it ends. Here are the lessons for Quarter 3, Week 10.
Language Arts
Poem
"Bed in Summer," by Robert Louis Stevenson
Spalding
We will follow our normal routine of learning new words and reviewing phonograms.
Literature
We will be reading and discussing “Her Majesty’s Servants” and “Parade-Song of the Camp Animals” for literature this week.
Writing and Grammar
Over the year we have worked on summarizing and copying from dictation to develop our writing stills. We are continuing to refine those skills while applying them to letter writing.
Math
Last week we introduced money to the students. This week students will continue to study money and will be assessed on Thursday.
History
As mentioned in a previous post, the students are responsible for typing their papers over the weekend and this week. That typed paper is due Thursday. We will also start our studies of Christopher Columbus and Juan Ponce de Leon.
Science
During science this week we will be finishing up our study of light and the eye. The students will be assessed on Wednesday.
