I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekends. I expect that many are making preparations for the long weekend and family gatherings. Remember that Wednesday is a half day. Here are the lessons for next week.

Language Arts
Because of the short week, there is not a poem or idiom.
Literature: We will be reading chapters 28-31 in Pinocchio.
Spalding: We will be learning 20 new words.
Writing With Ease: We will continue our development of summarizing short passages and refining our writing skills by dictation.
First Language Lessons: Prepositions were introduced on Friday and we are continuing our discussion of how they function. Please ensure that your child is studying the list provided on a previous blog for a quiz on Friday.
History
In science we are continuing our study of ancient Rome.
Science
In science we are finishing up our focus on the skeletal system with a quiz on Tuesday.
Math
Tomorrow we are having a quiz in math with a focus on multiplying and dividing by 7. We will be introducing multiplying and dividing by 8.
