Quarter 2, Week 4 Lessons

Greetings parents,

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends. Here are the lessons for the week.


Math

We are continuing to review and work toward mastering multiplication and division. There will be an assessment on Thursday.

Science

We had our introduction to the skeletal system last week and are continuing to work on memorizing the major bones of the body. We will also spend some time observing bones and make preparations for an experiment.

Language Arts

Poem: "The Littler Turtle," by Vachel Lindsey

Idiom: "Get a taste of your own medicine"

Spalding: Students will be given 30 new spelling words for the week and review phonograms.

Literature: Students will reading and discussing chapters 13-18 of Pinocchio.

Writing: Students will continue to develop their summarizing skills and copying from dictation.

Grammar: Students will learn about the predicate adjective and review previous content.

History

Students are continuing their study of ancient Rome. This week we will focus on the gods and goddesses of ancient Romans. There will be an assessment on Thursday.
